The McAndrews Estate – Steps to Nowhere

According to Scenes from the Trail “This is what’s left of the “Johnson House.” It was one of four houses on the estate. It is named for the Johnson family who lived in it during the time of Guillaume Reusens. Originally a two-family house, it was converted to a single family dwelling and renovated by the McAndrews family in the 1940’s.”

In the background you can just make out the retaining wall of the racetrack.

Taken with a Sony A6000 and a Sony A6000 and 7artisans 25mm f1.8 (I think).

The McAndrews Estate – The Cow Barn

This two story building is probably the most impressive structure I came across. I’ve read that the upper floor of the building was used for cows, while the lower floor may have been used to house sheep. The circular structure in the second picture is all that remains of a silo. Scenes from the Trail has a great picture of how the cow barn used to look with the intact silo next to it.

The first three images were taken with an iPhone SE and the last one with a Sony A6000. Again I’m not sure which lens was used.
