I’ve posted before about my attempts at bird photography. Usually I don’t find birds at all (I think they must see me coming and hide). On the odd occasion that I do come a across a bird it’s usually either a Canada Goose or a Mallard.

This time was different. I was walking the dog from Half Moon Bay to Croton Landing Park when I saw a large shadow pass over my head. I looked up and this magnificent bird alighted on one of the lamp posts along the path. I believe it’s a red-tailed hawk.
