When I’m walking the dog I usually take along my Sony RX100 M3, however this time I decided to go with the Sony A77 II. I’d taken some pictures of the snow in the morning with and been a bit disappointed that the Minolta 50mm f1.7 that I typically have on this camera wasn’t quite wide enough. So this time out I used a 24mm lens: specifically a Quantaray Tech 10 f2.8.
I can’t remember how I ended up with this lens. Did I buy it because I felt the need for a prime lens wider than I already had? Did it come attached to a camera body that I wanted more than the lens? I guess I’ll never know. I do know, however, that I like it. It’s small, light, fairly fast and has a useful focal length (around 35mm); it’s extremely sharp and I like the colors.
The light was nice and I ended up with a few shots of the lake including this one of Moon Beach.
Taken with a Sony A77 II and Quantaray 24mm f2.8.
