I was on my way to pick up my wife from her dance class when I realized I had some time to spare. So I decided to go down to a local park (Ryder Park) and walk the dog for a bit. We were returning to the car when I saw this dilapidated building by the side of the road. I was taking a picture when a trio of people turned up, also walking their dog. One of them said something along the lines of “So you’re taking a picture of the bunker”. I explained that I knew nothing about the building and that I was taking the picture because I liked the weathered wood; the vegetation crawling over it; the old rusting machinery etc. He than explained to me that it was called “The Bunker” because at some point it was use for storing dynamite. That, he went on, was why the road was called dynamite road. We chatted for a while an then went our separate ways. As I reached then end of the road I noticed a sign saying “Dynamite Road”.
