I’ve photographed these brick pillars before, most recently in December 2020 (See: Around the Neighborhood – Brick Pillars), but I don’t think I’ve ever taken a picture in Spring before – when the vegetation is lush and abundant.

I think I like it. It makes the pillars (which were once part of the old Speyer Estate) seem as if they are are ruins in the middle of nowhere. In reality they are right next to a road, and are only about a 10 minute walk from my house, which is also built on the site of the former Speyer Estate (See: Here’s where we live).
