I’ve lived in Westchester County, NY for about 22 years and I can’t count the number of times I’ve walked at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Imagine my surprise then when I turned right onto a trail and found that it didn’t seem familiar at all. And to cap it all it’s right next to the Visitor’s Center.

The trail rises until you find a commanding view out over Swan Lake. It was at this point that I decided to take a picture. I raised my camera only to find that I’d left the memory card in the card reader back at home. Aghhhh!!! Another lost opportunity. But then it occurred to me that I had my iPhone with me. I could use that.

All’s well that ends well I suppose. I was quite pleased with the way it came out.

Taken with an iPhone SE II.
