We’d decided to spend a day in Beacon, NY with our friends. The plan was to go fairly early and take in the flea market. Then we’d take a look along Main Street and find somewhere to have lunch. After that we’d proceed to the highlight of the day: a boat trip to Bannerman Island followed by a tour. We hadn’t planned for anything after that, but as our boat arrived back in Beacon we noticed that something was going on along the waterfront. It turned out that it was a Strawberry Festival, so we decided to go there too.
