This was taken from a spot directly in front of the former Monastery of Mary Immaculate. Just cross the grassy area and you’re right above the Hudson. I imagine that the view from the historic overlook would have been something like this before the trees obscured it.

The view is to the north with the US Military Academy at West Point in the background and Storm King State Park (I think) behind that.
