ON AUGUST 1, 1918 THIS BELL TOLLED THE ALARM FOR THE FLEISCHMANN MANUFACTURING COMPANY FIRE AT WHICH SEVEN PEEKSKILL VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS LOST THEIR LIVES.
